On Sunday, October 6th at 10:15 AM, Trinity Presbyterian Church will join millions of churches around the world in the celebration of World Communion Sunday.
Beyond our different interpretations of what communion means to the millions of Christians of all traditions, we all recognize the significance of getting together and to memorialize Jesus’ Last Supper.
This year, we will celebrate with breads from all over the world, representing the diversity of God’s creation and the multiple ways in which communion can be commemorated. Bread from the Asian, African, European and Latin American traditions will be brought forward and displayed on our round communion table. At communion time people attending church will be invited to take a piece or more of the many breads available, and enjoy all of it in the company of others. It will be a beautiful and meaningful experience for all.
After the service ends, we will move to our fellowship hour to continue sampling these marvelous bread creations with some savory and sweet spreads that the congregation will provide.
Not to be missed.
All are Welcome.
