WOMEN AWARE 5K WALK/RUN OCT 11

Women Aware’s Moving Beyond Abuse 5K Race & Charity Walk will take place (rain or shine) on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Johnson Park – Grove 4  in Piscataway, NJ. This is a USATF-Certified 5K flat course. For those who wish to run/walk a shorter course or simply support Women Aware by attending, there is an optional one-mile Charity Walk. Registration covers either option. Teams are encouraged to sign-up to run/walk together. All event proceeds benefit survivors and families moving beyond abuse through Women Aware. BIG NEWS!! RUN. WALK. WAG. This year, THEY welcome runners, walkers, AND leashed furry companions for a family-friendly morning! The worry of leaving a beloved pet behind to escape abuse is a big reason some victim-survivors choose not to seek shelter. We want to change that by transitioning to a pet friendly shelter. Help Women Aware keep survivors and their beloved companion safe and together. 

Register in advance of race day (up to 11:59pm on 10.8) and save $10! Advance registration is $40. Registration on race day will be $50. Free for children 11 and under. No charge for leashed furry companions.
