August at the Movies | Queen of Katwe

Trinity Presbyterian Church is offering free family-appropriate movies to the community on August 2, 16 and 30 at 6:30pm in the air-conditioned Media Center. Bring your own beverage and we’ll provide the snacks. Adults must accompany and remain with those under 18 years of age.

August 30 – QUEEN OF KATWE (PG – 2016) is based on the vibrant true story of a young girl from the streets of rural Uganda whose world rapidly changes when she is introduced to the game of chess. As a result of the support she receives from her family and community, she gains the confidence and determination she needs to pursue her dream of becoming an international chess champion.
